Coldplay’s “WE PRAY” – Brady’s Blank Verse
My "blank verse" to Coldplay's upbeat new single "WE PRAY," from their forthcoming album "Moon Music". Inspired by the short video they published on social media this month to invite the viewer to add their own verse to an instrumental variant of the second verse.
I "pray" first for some things that I want for the whole world, and then some personalized situations about myself. I raise a coffee mug around for a toast to that prayer. The character on the mug is Flash, a sloth from "Zootopia". That is one of my all-time favorite movies and a staple memory of my high school senior year. Coldplay's album "A Head Full of Dreams" is also a staple memory of my high school senior year. And so is Coldplay one of my all-time favorite bands.
What do YOU pray for? Feel free to listen to this "blank verse" and sing your own prayer requests.
