Archival Footage of Missouri State University as Southwest Missouri State College, Enhanced Versions Now Available on YouTube
Remember seeing my video “Southwest Missouri State College during the Vietnam War versus Missouri State University in 2020”? How you saw it alternate between short videos of the Springfield campus of Missouri State University that I recorded on campus, and portions of archived footage of it as Southwest Missouri State College that was recorded during the Vietnam War? That was a project for Editing for Film & Television, a class I took at Missouri State University in the Spring 2020 semester. The purpose of this “Radio Edit,” as the professor called this particular homework project, was simply to display a comparison/contrast of the university as Southwest Missouri State College during the Vietnam War, versus as Missouri State University in 2020. That video is available to view on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/9AFOm4Bdkxs. It can also be found on the list of videos I edited as a student of Missouri State University here on my website.
Now all that footage, plus another archived video, I just enhanced by color-correcting and sharpening, and they are all now available to view on YouTube and the list of my old video quality enhancements. And by the way, the original versions of all of these videos are part of the playlist “Missouri State University History” from YouTube channel Missouri State University Libraries. And all of them are silent; that’s why I don’t say that I tried to take out the background hiss from the audio!
