Springfield Southside Outing with Haley
I enjoyed another Monday afternoon with my good friend Haley Kilburn, this time in the Deep Southside of Springfield.
We started with a delicious lunch at Mully's Pub & Patio, the pub restaurant that replaced Galloway Station. We ordered two appetizers: Irish Nachos and Truffle Parmesan Fries. Both were delicious, but especially the Nachos. They had the kind of beer cheese that tasted similar to that which Dublin's Pass served with their buckets of chips and fries back in the 2010s. (That's why that Irish pub was one of my favorite restaurants in town in my adolesence.)
After a big lunch, we strolled down to Architect Coffee Company. We both enjoyed a "Chagaccino," an espresso mushroom coffee drink. (Here's an interesting fact. Before I got hired at Mercy Hospital Springfield and moved in close enough there, Architect was one of the various places I really loved, besides several others such as Sakura Japanese Restaurant, CoxHealth, and the Nature Center, that made the Southside my top choice of subregion to move to.)
We burned off all that food and coffee with a nice walk to Schaible Lake Park. We were not only quintessentially relaxed there, but we were truly endowed with the colors of the trees.
