Family Vacation in Orange Beach, Alabama (Volume 3)
Family Vacation in Orange Beach - Dining Out
Sunday, September 21 - Dinner at Carmelo, an upscale Italian restaurant. I enjoyed a decaf Cappuccino with the Saggittario, a pollotarian dish.
Monday, September 22 - Post-dinner ice cream at Del's. I enjoyed a Peanut Butter Lover Banana Split.
Tuesday, September 23 - Dinner at Doc's Seafood. I enjoyed their Mahi Mahi Specialty Dinner.
Wednesday, September 24 - Dinner at Cactus Cantina. I had their NEW Seafood Enchiladas. This was the beach after all, so I just had to enjoy fresh seafood at this local Mexican restaurant.
Thursday, September 25 - Lunch at The Galway, an Irish pub in the nearby town Gulf Shores. They are clearly a more authentic Irish pub than Dublin's Pass back in Springfield, Missouri. They have the kind of "living room" with a fireplace that's typical of pubs in the British Isles, but Dublin's Pass and Early Bird Breakfast Pub do not.
I enjoyed two appetizers: their Scotch egg and Boxtys. This Scotch egg was as delicious as those served at Dublin's Pass and Farmers Gastropub. So were the boxtys, a traditional Irish dish that Waxy O'Shea's, the Irish pub in Branson, Missouri, also serves.
After lunch that day, I got coffee and a treat from The Southern Grind. I enjoyed a Peanut Butter Mocha Latte with a Cheesecake Brownie, with a view of the beach from the balcony.
