Happy Halloween MMXXIII – Cool Cat Brady

Happy Halloween MMXXIII from Springfield, Missouri!  I am dressed as a Cool Cat!

I first wore this type of outfit for Halloween 2014.  This entirely homemade outfit has an interesting history inspired by various elements:

• In middle school, sometimes I saw a boy wearing a tee shirt that depicted a man wearing a hat and sunglasses, and sneakers with a suit, arms crossed.  I really liked that shirt, but I never see it again.  In fact, it is presumably the rarest tee shirt I ever saw.  The sneakers on that shirt is why I wore Western boots (NOT SHOWN), NOT dress shoes.  And the hat and sunglasses inspired me to wear a fedora and sunglasses.
• One Sunday, also in middle school, I wore sunglasses at Second Baptist Church when my sister and I went with our dad and stepmom.  Our stepmom commented that I looked like a Cool Cat with my sunglasses on.  My dad agreed that I WAS a Cool Cat.  I also normally wore, most often, dress clothes to Second Baptist.
• One weekend, soon before the start of my junior year of high school, as I walked around Barnes & Noble with my family, I looked inside an encyclopedia about LEGO figures.  One was the Bad Cop, from "The LEGO Movie".  I remember the encyclopedia describing that the Bad Cop "wears sunglasses to look cool," or something like that.  Indeed, I really liked Bad Cop's outfit, including his sunglasses.
