“Song and Dance” Corrected and Re-posted

I just corrected a portion of the credits of “Song and Dance,” the second short film that I created with my group in the class Principles of Cinematography in the Fall 2019 semester. The credits at 10:23–10:29, the portion to be corrected, originally stated that that video was “created for the Media Journalism & Film Department of Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri”. That is simply too general to be true, but that’s what the credits originally said because the Media Journalism & Film Department is the department that includes the major I am pursuing, which is Digital Film & Television.

The exact truth about why I created this video, I just stated above: that I created it for Bobby Lewis’s Principles of Cinematography class in the Fall 2019 semester. The corrected version is now available on YouTube, and I have deleted the original version.

Now, if you have already watched this video, chances are you noticed that the music in the background of the credits continued to play out for about 30 seconds of blank background after the credits finished rolling–at 10:30. I made the ending that way on purpose, with inspiration of the closing to the Australian videocassette of the 1994 film Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, which I saw on YouTube. That video shows that even after the credits finish rolling, the song that had been playing in the background, “Two Different Worlds,” continues to play out for about 90 seconds of blank background, after which the movie finally ends.

Here are the links to the video that contains the closing–and even opening!–to the 1994 Australian VHS of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, so you can see what I mean:
The closing starts at 13:21.
The credits finish rolling at 13:27.
The song ends at 14:57, at which point the movie finally ends, and the cassette moves on to a preview of another film.
